Adam Hughes is Head of FIS Account Origination, following Amount’s acquisition by FIS in 2025. In this role, he helps set the strategic direction of the business as it scales digital deposit account opening, lending, and card origination solutions for financial institutions, leveraging AI-driven decisioning and integrated fraud prevention. With deep experience building and growing fintech platforms, Adam focuses on enabling banks and credit unions to meet rising consumer and small business expectations through modern, digital-first capabilities.
Prior to Amount, Adam served as President and COO of Avant, where he helped build the company into an industry-leading digital consumer lending platform. Earlier in his career, he was an early employee at Enova International, playing a key role in scaling its international digital lending business. Adam holds a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University.
