Stacy joined Amplify in 2018 after spending 17 years in public relations & marketing. Since, she graduated with leadership distinction from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU’s Cox School of Business and was named one of the Most Powerful Women in Credit Unions by American Banker in 2023.
Beyond Amplify, Stacy is involved in a variety of civic and philanthropic causes in the Austin area, including support for breast cancer screenings, civic discourse, and diversity in nonprofit leadership and education. She earned a bachelor's degree in public relations from the University of Texas at Austin and later was an instructor in UT’s Moody College of Communications. She's also a proud mom to two boys, ages 14 and 10, and loves entertaining friends with her amateur bartending skills and bad jokes.
With digitization being a necessity to meet customer expectations, the financial industry needs to embrace their local and relationship building “roots.” Credit unions need to identify relevant strategies to bring the best of the in-person experience to digital channels. Credit union leaders discuss which aspects of physical banking interactions should be translated into digital experiences; how to prioritize and test UX for ease of use and accessibility; how to use data and transaction history to offer customers the right product at the right time; and when to implement self-service options versus those that require more in-depth discussion and support.
