Joanie currently serves as the Vice President and Managing Director for North America at Ripple, overseeing the region's overall payments and digital asset custody business. In her previous role as Global Head of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships, she built a global team, established strategic relationships within the payments, blockchain, and digital asset sectors, and led the launch of new products for Ripple.
Before her tenure at Ripple, Joanie was the Head of U.S. Operations for Ant Group, where she led a large team and was instrumental in making the U.S. one of Ant's most successful international markets. She also led Ant’s Global Strategic Partners group, where she forged pivotal alliances with global tech giants, enhancing Ant and Alibaba's global e-wallet presence and securing partnerships with industry leaders such as Apple, Google, Uber, Airbnb, Adyen, Stripe, and more. Prior to joining Ant Group, Joanie worked in Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division, where she managed many key client relationships and led M&A and financing transactions across Asia.
