Jeff Newman is a seasoned technology executive with over 27 years of experience at Zions Bancorporation. He spearheads strategic initiatives that drive innovation, operational resilience, and customer-centric solutions in retail banking.

As SVP, Director of Retail Technology Solutions, Jeff leads the digital transformation of banking technology to enhance customer experiences, strengthen fraud prevention, and optimize operational efficiency. His leadership has been pivotal in advancing banking technology to meet the demands of an increasingly digital world.

Throughout his tenure at Zions Bancorporation, Jeff has held numerous positions, including leading Infrastructure Operations. He has overseen teams of professionals, modernizing core banking infrastructure, improving service delivery, and driving cost efficiencies.

Jeff's expertise encompasses IT risk management, enterprise program management, digital transformation, and most recently, fraud engineering and machine learning. He is actively expanding his knowledge in developing intelligent fraud detection and prevention systems that safeguard customers and financial assets.

With a proven track record in data security, resilience, and emerging technology, Jeff focuses on building anti-fragile systems that adapt to evolving risks. His work ensures continuous innovation in retail banking, providing the best customer experience both during and after on-boarding.

Jeff holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology Management from Western Governors University and is a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School. Jeff is dedicated to his community and enjoys coaching multiple high school mountain bike teams.
